Explore Southern Owens Valley near Lone Pine and WWII relocation camp at Manzanar.  Learn about the close, though sometimes strained relationship between the Owens Valley and Los Angeles.  Climb the challenging Swansea Grade and explore an old salt tram operation on the way to the ghost town of Cerro Gordo (the 1860's town that built Los Angeles).  Motel two nights in Lone Pine.  Lots of history and scenery.  Bring your camera/video!  Easy-Moderate 4-wheeling.  Tour meets near Mojave or in Lone Pine) and ends in Lone Pine (Kern and Inyo counties.
